Open every day except non-public-holiday Mondays
10am-6pm
Ticket Office closes at 5:15 pm.

On Sundays, the work Ganzfeld by James Turrell will be open until 8 pm. Restaurant "Luce" offers a cocktail buffet (10 Euros per drink)

In busy periods with high visitor numbers, access to the work Ganzfeld by James Turrell is not guaranteed.

How to get there

By car

Take the A8 motorway ('Autostrada dei Laghi') to Varese,
then follow the signs for Villa Panza.
Parking is available within Villa Panza at a cost of €2.50.

Public transport

Train: Trenord, from Milan Cadorna to Varese Nord;
from Milan Porta Garibaldi to Varese FS;
from Treviglio/Milan Passante to Varese FS.
Autobus: Line A from Piazzale Trieste (train station)
heading for Biumo Superiore - Piazza Litta (terminus)
Departure at minute 14 and 44 of every hour on weekdays, at minute 14 of every hour during holidays.

Until December 8, 2014 you can buy a combined ticket at the ticket offices of Trenord (Ferrovienord network) and at "my link Point" in Cadorna Station (Milan) and Garibaldi Station (Milan). The combined ticket is worth € 19.00 and includes:

  • Entrance to Villa Panza and the exhibition Aisthesis
  • A Trenord round-trip ticket from any station of the Ferrovienord network in Lombardy, with destination Varese

 

In partnership with Autolinee Varesine, the return bus journey from Villa Panza is free of charge. By showing (on Line A only) a validated one-way bus ticket and an entry ticket to the exhibition (valid for the same day as the journey), you are entitled to the return journey (starting from the Biumo terminus opposite Villa Panza) at no charge.

On foot

From the train station, take Viale Milano, then Via Dandolo, then Via Morazzone and finally Via Crosa: approximately 1 mile, 15-20 minutes.
